Micro analysis scope

• Textiles: antibacterial activity by parallel streak (AATCC 147), AATCC 100, agar diffusion plate (ISO 20645), JIS L 1902 and dynamic contact (ASTM E2149)
• Textiles: antifungal activity (AATCC 30 III, MIL-STD-810F 508.5), dust mite assessment and bioburden (ISO 11737-1)
• Textiles: mosquito repellency (US Patent 5,198,287 and a modified WHO/CTD protocol)
• Plastics and glazed surfaces: antimicrobial activity and efficacy (JIS Z 2801); polymeric materials: resistance to fungi (ASTM G-21)
• Paints: mould resistance in an environmental chamber (ASTM D3273), surface disfigurement by fungal or algal growth (ASTM D3274), and in-can preservative bioassays
• Antimicrobial formulations: MIC (tube method), MBC (plate method), antifungal plate method, time kill on bacteria, fungi and algae (API RP-38) and preservative challenge testing
• In-vitro cytotoxicity on the L929 mouse cell line, qualitative and quantitative by MTT assay (EN ISO 10993-5)
• Drinking and swimming pool water: plate count, coliforms by MPN and by membrane filtration, E. coli, Clostridium welchii and faecal streptococci (IS 1622)
• Food, dairy, spices and animal feed: total bacterial count (IS 5402 / ISO 4833), yeast and mould (IS 5403), coliforms and E. coli (IS 5401), Salmonella, Shigella, S. aureus, faecal streptococci, Bacillus cereus, Clostridium perfringens, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vibrio cholerae and Listeria monocytogenes (IS 5887 and IS 14988 series)
• Identification of pathogenic bacteria, fungi, protozoa and cysts from any contaminated surface (Bergey's Manual, ASM methods)
